Vodafone launched near May 1 a great surprise for its customers in Romania, one that millions of them have been waiting for since last fall, but it's better late than never. In the fall of 2019, Vodafone launched VoLTE and VoWiFi services for certain phone models, years behind Orange or Digi Mobil, but those with iPhone phones were left behind by the operator, until close to May 1 .
Vodafone has finally launched VoLTE and VoWiFi services on iPhones, an update for carrier settings is now available for customers, and it activates both services after installation. You can see below the images sent by a reader of iDevice.ro, and there you can clearly see the options that are active now for using VoLTE, and VoWiFi has a separate menu through which you can activate the system to use it for phone calls.
Vodafone: HUGE SURPRISE for MILLIONS of Romanian Customers
Vodafone offers through the VoLTE service the possibility of making phone calls via 4G, connecting the interlocutors faster, radically improving the sound quality, and also offering a technology for canceling ambient noises. In the case of VoWiFi technology, we are talking about similar benefits that Vodafone offers, only that it is possible to call through a WiFi network at any time, it being especially useful when you have a weak signal, or no signal, in the location where you are.
Vodafone brought these technologies quite hard for iPhone users, but maybe to a certain extent this is understandable, Apple having to certify these changes. This could be the difference between the release dates for Android and iPhone phones, but the good part is that now Vodafone users can enjoy VoLTE and VoWiFi even on iPhone phones, so you can use the features right now.
Vodafone offers both functions for free for all compatible phones, so you don't have to pay anything for them, and if you don't have them yet, contact customer service.
